Two key figures from the Verbier Festival 2013: Gautier Capuçon and Yuja Wang together on stage for the 20 years birthday of the Festival! They begin this concert with the unique Sonata for cello and piano by Chostakovitch (1934) and that by Rachmaninov (1901), one of the composer's rare works of chamber music. They also play the Grand Tango for cello and piano by Piazzolla, a piece in one movement at the crossroads of traditional tango and jazzy rhythms.
